Community Needs - Volunteerism & Resources
We refer those seeking help or looking to assist others in the community to www.MyCovidResponse.org.
COVID Response is a network of leaders from various local community organizations, churches, and other agencies in central Oakland County who are working to establish connections between those in need and those with resources to meet those needs.
They aim to establish connections through consolidating information about available resources on their website, building a digital database of community needs, and locating direct help to meet those needs.
COVID-19 Testing
Oakland County, in partnership with Honor Community Health, is offering no cost drive through COVID-19 testing by appointment only. Click here for information on testing service maps, hours, and how to make an appointment.
Unemployment
The Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity is encouraging employers to take advantage of the Unemployment Insurance Agency's Work Share program. This allows employers to maintain employment levels and business operations during declines in business activity rather than laying off workers. More information can be found at www.michigan.gov/workshare. Further unemployment information for both employers and employees is available at www.michigan.gov/uia.
