The Almond Hut

We've been roasting nuts since 1989. Like most of our competitors, we started out in a kiosk in the mall along with booking craft shows, festivals, car shows, catering events, etc. We began in Arborland Mall and ended in the Bay City Mall. At one point we were in Jackson, Ann Arbor, Northland Mall and Winchester Mall (in Rochester) at the same time ruling the Christmas season by filling the air with the aroma of our roasted nuts. In 1992 we added gift baskets to our menu. Most were premade by us, but special orders were (and still are) always welcome. For a few years we had stores in the Bay City mall, Lansing mall, and Fashion Square Mall in Saginaw. The Bay City store ran from 1993 until mid 2001.
We've traveled all of Michigan and out of state as far as Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Kentucky and Oklahoma. In 2025 we celebrated our 39th anniversary with the Victorian Art Fair in West Branch. What other events we've been a part of? Noel Night in downtown Detroit-30 years, The Car Show at The Barn in Livonia-20 years, the original Michigan TasteFest-18 years, Arts,Beats & Eats-18 years, Superbowl, Final Four, and the NHL's Hockey Classic, NASCAR. A wedding and a funeral. This is just to name a few. We generally book 25-35 events every year.
We currently sell through the Clarkston Family Farm, Pink Shamrocks (in Milan), and Odds & Ins (in Highland). Wholesale in bags or bulk orders are welcome.
Our gift baskets? We rarely make more than 4-6 of the same. We partner with over 11 UP companies making our Michigan baskets more unique than other companies. What can we do for you?
